Timrå offers an experience of nature from ocean coast to wilderness
The nature reserve at the delta of the river Indalsälven is the creation of  Vildhussen when he reshaped the rivers at Storforsen in Jämtland and Döda fallet (Dead Falls) in Ragunda.
Timrå contains several nature reserves which stretch from the Indalsälven delta up to the wilderness regions of Lögdö; offering good fishing, canoeing, studying flora and fauna or pleasant countryside rides on the back of an Icelandic horse.

Riding

It is quite extraordinary to view the countryside on horseback. No previous experience is needed. to ride out and tolt on an Icelandic pony. Experienced guides lead you on a trek along beautiful forest paths. Read more»

Charming canoe trails

Canoe trails follow the Ljustorpsån and Indalsälven all the way to the Jämtland border. Good stops on the way with toilets and a Saami hut in Ljustorp to stay overnight. Read more»
