Wiftavarfs industrial village
The ship industry at Wifsta Warf developed at the end of the 18th century. This was followed by saw mills and later a fine-paper plant. There are no industries there today, just a little settlement with a manor, houses and a pump-house which is now used as a chapel for christenings and weddings.  There are splendid walks in the area and a small guest harbour. Wifsta Varfs Herrgård, the local manor, is privately owned and offers overnight accomodation.
The Wifsta Warf local history society can be contacted for a guided tour. Ring Hans Johansson for more information tel.: 060-58 00 03.
